WAYS TO SUPPORT SUNRISE
SPONSOR A CHILD FOR CHRISTMAS
- You can make a difference in a child's life this Christmas. Sunrise Children's Services has more than 500 children and teens in our care. Most of them won't be spending Christmas with their families. Many have never celebrated Christmas.
- Help us show them that someone cares. There are several ways you can help these needy children this Christmas:
- 1. Shop from a child's individual list.
- 2. Make a monetary donation and the staff can do the shopping for you. We budget $100-200 per child, depending on age.
- 3. Coordinate an angel tree in your office or church. Let us know how many lists you'd like. Have your coworkers, employees, customers or members shop for all or part of a child's list and return the gifts to you. We will help in any way we can.
- 4. Coordinate a gift collection with your school or group. Some of the items that commonly appear on our children's lists are: PJs and hoodies (all sizes), gift cards to popular clothing stores, remote control cars and trucks, handheld electronic games (like Nintendo DS), makeup, lip gloss, hair accessories, scented shower gel and lotion, baby and Barbie dolls, mp3 players, prepaid cell phones, sport duffle bags, sports balls and eqipment, board games, bicycles, scrapbooks and supplies, action figures, Matchbox cars, journals and sketch pads, video games (any console). We will use the gifts to fulfill lists of children who enter our programs too close to Christmas to get individually sponsored.
