Letter from Our President
At Sunrise Children’s Services, our need for monetary support has never been greater. We are now serving a record number of children in the Commonwealth who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect.
It is so difficult to describe the horrors that the children we care for have endured on a daily basis. The number of dispossessed and damaged children in Kentucky has reached crisis proportions, and state resources have simply been overwhelmed by a flood of children who need a loving home. We need monetary donations to help us replenish resources depleted by the high cost of providing help where help is needed.
Sunrise is responsible for helping as many as 1,000 of these victims – both children and families – every month with basic human needs and services. But it’s not enough. With your help, we can continue to give these children a place to sleep, food to eat, and the comfort of knowing that the world can be a kind place, full of people who really do care. It’s our mission to help these innocent young people begin the process of healing. Each one of them comes to us deeply wounded, desperately in need of the inner strength and peace that flows from God’s benevolent grace. Our entire team at Sunrise is fired with a zeal for this very special, spiritual ministry of bringing hope to the hopeless.
No child should ever feel unloved, unwanted and unimportant. Hope for the future lies with all our children, not just those who are fortunate enough to grow up in loving homes. Please join us in giving children who need our help a chance at a better life and a brighter tomorrow. Will you provide support and join us in our revolution of love? The time is now!
Dale Suttles, President
