Introducing the New and Improved Penny Miles . . . and her Foster Pup Sunny!

Your church, organization, or small group can make a big difference in the lives of hurting children by simply collecting pocket change through our Miles of Pennies fundraising program. How much is a mile of pennies? The answer is: 84,480 pennies, or $844.80.

Your support is life changing and helps provide the children we serve with a safe, loving environment through Sunrise where they can receive therapy and begin the healing process.

The Penny Miles character, who is featured throughout this program, is the mascot for Miles of Pennies and an iconic symbol of help and support for children and youth who are broken. She was designed to engage kids of all ages in this creative fundraiser and teach them about the importance of giving back.

In the supporting materials that accompany this program, Penny has a new look, and a puppy!  Penny shares the story of her friend’s journey through foster care, the new pup Sunny she is fostering, and how she learned to help others who are less fortunate. Sunrise will provide the materials you’ll need to incorporate this fundraiser into your church programming. This is a great way to get the children and youth in your church connected and engaged with Sunrise’s ministry to those children and families who desperately need care, therapy, and love.

Over the years, many churches have supported and continue to support Sunrise through the Miles of Pennies program. If you’re interested in learning more, email us at pennymiles@sunrise.org.
