Ride to the Ranch bike rally set for May 27

Baptist Bikers of Kentucky is partnering with Boone’s Creek, Tates Creek, and Rockcastle Baptist Associations to hold a benefit ride for Sunrise on Saturday, May 27. Motorcyclists are revving up for a ride through Kentucky’s scenic region along the Wilderness Road- Heritage Highway to pray for and raise awareness of the Sunrise Children’s Services ministry.

The ride begins at 10 a.m. at the Rockcastle Baptist Association located at 68 Freedom School Road in Mt. Vernon. Bikers will follow US Highway 25 North through Renfro Valley and continue along US 25 (North Wilderness Road- Heritage Highway) to Richmond. From Richmond, motorcyclists will travel Highway 52 toward the mountains of eastern Ky. In Irvine, bikers will travel Highway 89 to Winchester to the destination. At the final stopping point, bikers will offer a special prayer for Sunrise before dismissing and sharing a meal together.

Rockcastle Baptist Association’s Director of Missions, Randy McPheron, is urging bikers to take part in the May 27 event sponsored by Baptist Bikers of Kentucky:

“Our goal is to raise support for Sunrise Children’s Services and to offer our prayers and encouragement to this wonderful ministry. Last year, we raised $1,819 for Sunrise and we partnered with Rockcastle and Nelson Baptist Associations. This year, we are raising the stakes and will attempt a $10,000 goal for Sunrise! It is the least we can do to help neglected, abused, and orphaned children.”

The ride begins at 10 a.m. at Rockcastle Baptist Association at 68 Freedom School Rd., Mt. Vernon, Ky. 40456.
