Gifts in Kind

Small Things Can Mean Everything.

A new backpack. A favorite blanket. Shampoo that belongs to them. A basketball to take outside. For a child entering care, everyday items can provide comfort, dignity, and the reassurance that someone thought about them.

Gifts in kind help Sunrise respond to practical needs across our ministries while allowing more resources to remain focused on therapeutic care, foster family support, residential services, and long-term healing.

  • Help meet immediate practical needs
  • Engage your church, business, school, or group
  • Support children and families across Kentucky
More Than a Donation

Sometimes a Child Arrives With Very Little.

Children and teenagers entering Sunrise programs may need basic personal items, school supplies, clothing, recreational activities, household essentials, or something as simple as a backpack for their belongings.

Gifts in kind allow Sunrise staff to meet those practical needs quickly and thoughtfully. They also give churches, businesses, schools, civic groups, and individuals a tangible way to become part of the Sunrise mission.

The item may be small. The message it sends can be much bigger: You matter. You are seen. You are worth caring for.
