Friends and family filed into Erlanger Baptist Church during a recent memorial service for Gloria Redmon. However, if all the children whose lives she impacted during her years of volunteering for Sunrise Children's Services could have attended,  an arena would have been needed to seat them all.

  Nine Children Saved

Nine children, ranging in age from two months to 17-years-old, were found living in a Kentucky home recently with no water, no heat and precious little food. Authorities treated the youngest for malnutrition, dehydration and hypothermia, while the others were also rendered assistance and immediately removed from the home.

  A Source of Inspiration

Kentucky's young people are a source of inspiration and hope for all of us in the Commonwealth. That was on display recently at the Hyatt in downtown Louisville when members of the Kentucky All-State Choir continued their tradition of singing the national anthem from outside their rooms. The young singers represent high schools from every region of Kentucky and their voices filled the large atrium.
