The Children’s Champion Business Impact Program

Children are the foundation of our future, and the early years of their lives play a crucial role in determining the trajectory of their adulthood. I firmly believe that by investing in the well-being and development of these young minds, we are, in essence, investing in the future of our communities, nations, and the world at large. Sunrise Children’s Services has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children who may have faced adversity, trauma, or challenging circumstances. Through their comprehensive programs and services, they not only address immediate needs such as shelter, nutrition, and healthcare but also prioritize the emotional and educational well-being of each child under their care.

I will say that I knew “of’ Sunrise but did not “know” Sunrise. My
eyes were opened, four years ago, when we took our youth group to visit and work with one of the facilities and were truly impressed with the team at Sunrise and their work. We saw, first hand, what a
difference Sunrise was making in the lives of the children.

I chose to serve with Sunrise because growing up in the west side of Lexington, not in the best part of town, I’ve seen very similar situations with kids daily: getting abused and not having any hope, ultimately turning to the streets and going down the wrong path. I’ve loved what is created at Sunrise for kids to be given an opportunity to feel loved when seemingly the world turned their back on them. Really looking forward to seeing the growth of the kids and program!

Filming Sunrise Children’s Services’ gala in Lexington, Kentucky, last year was a truly rewarding experience. Collaborating with this dedicated organization, who is deeply committed to supporting foster children statewide, allowed me to capture and share their impactful work. Witnessing their passion deepened my commitment to contribute through my videography skills. Grateful for the opportunity, I eagerly anticipate continued collaboration, knowing that together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of Kentucky’s foster children.

Missionary Jim Elliott said, “When we give, we’re acknowledging that God is greater than whatever we’re giving up. He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” We belong to God and everything we have is from Him. It is our responsibility and privilege to share what we have been given with those who are in need. Sunrise Children’s Services is a perfect place for us to be able to give back to the community part of the blessings that have been entrusted to us. If we can help them provide for, serve, and love Kentucky’s kids, there is no better way to provide resources.
